Dr. John Kamauff is a dynamic and distinguished leader with more than 40 years’ experience guiding the strategic direction and vision of highly influential organizations around the globe. His extensive leadership experience is demonstrated across a range of consulting, operations, supply chain management, and digital transformation roles. Joining SAP in 2021, John led the Regulated Industries Services for North America. In this role, he was accountable for providing all lines of service focused on SAP customer success in the Federal, Defense, Aerospace, State & Local, Higher Education, Utilities, and Healthcare industries.
Dr. John Kamauff is the Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) Executive Vice President, Chief Procurement Officer and Chief Alliances Officer. In this capacity, he oversees nearly $10 Billion in external spend across Sony Pictures and Sony Corporation of America and helps monetize external relationships across SPE’s Global Alliances. He also leads SPE’s global Procure-to-Pay process and its worldwide Supplier Diversity Program.
John has over forty years of experience with the United States Department of Defense and leading commercial concerns in a variety of consulting and management positions. John started his own international management consulting company in 1982, is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and has been instrumental in leading quality and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives across a variety of industries. He holds a Ph.D. from the Darden Graduate School of Business (University of Virginia) and an MBA from Boston University, an MA from the University of North Carolina, and an ME in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and the Air Force Test Pilot School. He has written numerous teaching and research cases and co-authored Information and Technology in the Supply Chain—Virtually There; e-Supply Chain Management: evolution or revolution; Information and Technology in the Supply Chain: Making Technology Pay, Supercharging Global Supply Chains; Managing Purchasing: Making the Supply Team Work, and Operations Management; and has published articles in Long Range Planning; Business Quarterly; Supply Chain Management: An International Journal; the European Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management; the International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management; Team Purchasing Decisions; the Sourcing Industry Group’s Inside Sourcing; and Long Range Planning.
